Principal’s Message

Dear Franklin Woods Families:

Welcome! I hope you are enjoying your summer spending time with family and friends, relaxing at the pool or catching up on a good book. Summer is a great time for rejuvenation in preparation for the new school year. The faculty and staff are busy preparing the school and classrooms for an exciting year of learning and growth. Student success is the goal of every staff member at Franklin Woods.

Serving as principal is as great an honor as it is a responsibility. I believe that the foundation of our future accomplishments will be found in the power of our collaborative partnership. I ask for your support and participation in this effort by sending your child to school every day, encouraging him/her to read for pleasure at least 20 minutes every night, monitoring homework and progress, and asking your child to share what they have learned at school each day.

Finally, I urge you to become involved at Franklin Woods! All families are encouraged to become members of our PTA. There are literally hundreds of opportunities to be involved in PTA activities in both big and small ways depending on the amount of time you have.

Learn more about PTA and other important information at our Open House on Monday, August 20, from 4:30-6:00pm. Please join me, Assistant Principal Carol Merritt and the entire Bulldog staff for an evening filled with valuable information. Looking forward to hearing about your summer adventures, getting caught up with returning families and meeting our newest Bulldogs!
